Rojava in solidarity with the mothers of hunger strikers

Women took to the streets in Qamishlo (Rojava/Northern Syria) to protest the Turkish state’s attacks against prisoners’ mothers. Expressing their support for the hunger strikers’ actions to break the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan, the women said that their struggle will continue.

Members of a variety of women’s organizations such as the Yazidi Women’s Assembly and the umbrella women’s movement Kongreya Star have expressed their solidarity with the ongoing resistance of the Peace Mothers in Northern Kurdistan/Turkey, in the wake of the attacks by the Turkish state and police.

The protest took place on the occasion of Mother’s Day.
